Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Hayek-Jimenez (born 2 September 1966)[3][4][5[5] is a Mexican and American actress and film producer. She started her career in Mexico with her starring role in the telenovela Teresa (1989-1991) as also in the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) in which she was awarded an Ariel Award nomination. She quickly made herself known in Hollywood with appearances in films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) and Dogma (1999). Hayek's portrayal as painter Frida Kahlo in the biographical film Frida (2002), which she also wrote she became the first Mexican actress to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress[6as well as earning her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. The following years, Hayek focused more on filmmaking while also appearing in action-oriented films like Once Upon a Time in Mexico
