Coleman was born at Blackpool Lancashire. She was a student at the Arnold School in Blackpool where she was head of the school and scored straight A's in her A-levels. In discussing her Emmerdale character Coleman expressed regret over being unable to attend a college. Coleman was a part of a theatre company, In Yer Space while during her time at university. The company performed in the Edinburgh Festival for the play Crystal Clear. A prize was given to her for the show, and the production itself received a favorable reception. Coleman was offered the role of Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while auditioning in drama schools in 2005. Coleman was nominated for awards in 2007 and won two prizes. She was named The Best Newcomer in the British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. She was nominated in the categories of Best Actress, Sexiest Woman as well as Best Dramatic Performance during the British Soap Awards 2009. Coleman received a TV Choice Award nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March press conference in 2012 that Coleman will play Matt Smith's character following the departure of Karen Gillan left. Moffat picked her to play the part because she was the most efficient in her interactions with Smith and could speak more rapidly than the actor. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Her career has been in the entertainment industry since 1987. But she's been more well-known on television than in films. Eva is most well-known for her role in the role of Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children as well as detective Natalia Boa Vistas on CSI Miami. In fact, the character as Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children landed her 2 Daytime Emmy nominations. This provided her with the opportunity to show off her musical talent. In addition to being an actor, Eva is also a philanthropist as well as an entrepreneurial. Her third husband is the father of her daughter.
